About Boulder Guitar Studio:
First, professional Instructor Lee Johnson will assess your ability, interests and goals. Next, he will create a FUN custom program to suit your tastes and styles. Also, this will help you reach your goals at YOUR pace. Options include basic to advanced techniques. Additionally, you can learn fundamentals, rhythm, lead, fingerstyle, reading notes and/or TAB. Subsequently we move into music theory, ear training, singing/voice, fret board logic, improvisation, song writing, song construction, and much more.
For songwriters, you found the right place! Lee is a multi award winning songwriter. He can help you get started or improve your songwriting skills. This can included increasing your tool sets, and learning classic or contemporary crafting techniques. There is a rare foundation Lee has including studying with some of the worlds top songwriters and instructors. You can learn the professional craft skills to help you get started, or improve whatever level you are at.

Lee Johnson’s Education:
Education includes a B.A. in Environmental Conservation from CU Boulder 1991. Next he continued to get a B.A. in Music and Sound Technology 1995 at UCD Denver. Additionally, Lee has studied songwriting with Top Hit Writers and Instructors, at Song Camps with Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), Durango Songwriters Expo, Taxi, and was also a Teachers Assistant on SongU.com.

Lee Johnson is an award winning singer/songwriter, musician/producer. His songs recently won 1st place in Richard Leigh Songwriter Fest, May 2016 and Akademia Music Awards June 2016. Additionally, his songs won 1st and 2nd Place in Durango Expo “WWAHM” Feb 2014! Furthermore, his song “How We Roll” aired on ABC’s “Nashville” 12/4/13! Also, more songs won 1st Place in “Show Me the Music” Nov 2013, 1st Place “Smokey Mnt Songwriter Fest” Aug 2013. Before that, Lee won 1st Place in SongU “Golden Ticket” May 2013, Broadjam April 2012, 1st Place “Hillbilly Culture” June 2012. A big highlight was winning 1st Place NSAI “Hitsville” April 2011 and 1st Place Durango Expo “WWAHM” Feb 2010! First Lee has 21 yrs FT music instruction, and 27 years of performances. Also, Lee is Coordinator for N. CO NSAI.
